Start your adventure in Durban

Durban is a bustling city with a mix of African, Indian and colonial influence. Start your trip with some intense surfing at the popular “Bay of Plenty” which is a blue flag beach and situated on the Golden Mile  right in the heart of the beachfront hub.  This beach is a favourite for surfers, thanks to consistent right and left breaks off the beach and jetty. Also, while you are in Durban, do not forget to get a “bunny chow” for lunch.

Your adventure begins with a night at Aweh Africa Backpackers. This establishment is not on the beach, but in the quiet Northern suburbs (only 10 minutes from the beach) where you can chill and meet some other interesting and like-minded folks.  This small cozy backpackers is more like a hippy community to welcome guests from all around the world.
