The Cedarberg Wilderness

The Cederberg Wilderness is known for its pristine and untouched nature. As part of the Cape Floral Kingdom you can enjoy an abundance of fynbos species. The Cape Floral Kingdom is the smallest but richest plant kingdom on earth. The red sandstone formations tower from high above. They seem to be on fire when the morning sun catches them. The Cederberg Wilderness area is strewn with iconic peaks and breathtaking rock structures, bushmen paintings and rock pools.

Expect to see unbelievable sunrises, unusual rock formations, countless floral species, rock paintings from the indigenous San people and top it off with a breathtaking sunset. To finish the day off or on your rest days, you could also enjoy wine tasting produced at the highest altitude in South Africa, locally brewed beer and stargazing at the local observatory.
