In the footsteps of Cape Heritage

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the CBD.

Local design and boundary-pushing innovation meet at Gorgeous George, the new hotel in the heart of downtown Cape Town. Created out of two beautifully restored heritage buildings, Gorgeous George is the first in Cape Town to join the Design Hotels™ stable, a hand-selected worldwide collection of privately owned and operated design forward and culturally rooted hotels.

Gorgeous George has 32 luxurious rooms with industrial tones of raw, exposed concrete and steelwork, blended with modern Victorian design elements. Each room is kitted with an eclectic mix of handpicked treasures and custom pieces sourced from local and international designers and finished with a touch of inner-city howzit of hand-painted wall art by David Brits.

Restore your soul and interact with locals

Your driver will collect you and take you to the winelands where you will be staying for the next 3 x nights.

The Simonsberg Silo’s, consisting of two old silo’s next to each other, are owned by Sumari and Alexander Milner and are situated on the beautiful historical wine estate Natte Valleij 12 km from Stellenbosch on the lower slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain. Sympathetically restored, the two silo’s offer guest a truly unique experience.

Each silo is equipped with fast WiFi, coffee/tea facilities, air conditioner, queen size bed with 100% pure cotton linen and luxury towels. Laundry facilities are available and daily cleaning service free of charge. All guests have access to the outdoor pool and pool towels are provided.

The silos are booked on a self catering basis, but breakfast baskets are included.

While you stay here, you will be taken on a Cellar Tour by the winemaker,Alexander Milner himself. The Natte Valleij Farm have been bought by the Milner family in 1969. Focusing primarily on Cinsault, Alexander’s passion is seeking out forgotten patches of old dry-land bush vines that he felt would offer exceptional quality and interest. “These old vines have always fascinated me by their dogged persistence to exist.” We hope our wines speak louder than words in expressing the dynamic Cape. Our philosophy at Natte Valleij Wines is simple, respect the soil, the vine and the wine, with minimal interference and pretence. Guiding beautiful grapes into character full wines -preserving the intrinsic link between bottle and grape.
