Your journey begins
Day 1 – Cape Town to Citrusdal (Transfer)
Your adventure starts in Piekenierskloof
You will be greeted at the meeting point in Cape Town (CBD) in the morning and transferred in an air-conditioned vehicle to Piekenierskloof. Your support driver and bicycles will be waiting for you at Hebron Guesthouse upon arrival. You have the afternoon to spend at your own leisure and will meet for dinner.
If you want to meet at a different point in the Western Cape, then it can be arranged upon request, but costs will vary.
Hebron is a family-run Guesthouse, Restaurant, and Flower farm, situated on the Piekenierskloof Pass, 7km from Citrusdal, the “Gateway to the Cederberg” and the ideal base from which one can explore this unique region. All rooms are located within the working farm environment and close to the rim-flow swimming pool and sun loungers, where you can relax and enjoy the beauty and serenity of the farm setting, and the splendor of the valley and mountains beyond.

Day 2 – Cycle 77km’s from Piekenierskloof to Algeria
Algeria Cottages - into the Wild
Your day starts with an early departure after breakfast, where we head for Algeria. The ride begins with a gentle cycle along the eastern bank of the Olifants River, which is flanked by orchards. Just 20km out, you pass by the oldest orange tree in the southern hemisphere. A sharp right turn takes you into the heart of the Cederberg mountainscape, famous for its other-worldly rock formations and fynbos floral kingdom. Soon, you’ll reach the hiking and rock climbing mecca of the area, Algeria
You spend the night at Algeria Cottages in the Cape Nature Reserve. Purpose-built, the six new cottages were made to not only help guests blend into their surroundings, but also to provide them with a luxury experience.
Each cottage features two bedrooms, with a double bed in the main bedroom, two single beds in the second bedroom, and a sleeper couch in the living area. These cottages can accommodate a maximum of four adults,

Day 3 – 43km’s from Algeria to Cedarberg Oasis
Cedarberg Oasis - Under the stars
After an early rise and breakfast, we hit the road, brace yourself for a wild adventure. The route kicks up as you ascend the Uitkyk Pass, the summit of which provides spectacular views down the valley. After the pass, you head down the next valley, past a few settlements and a wine farm – definitely worth a stop! After Kromrivier, there are some rock art paintings off to the right of Truijieskraaland shortly after that the turn off to your abode for the night.
Cedarberg Oasis is where you will sleep, close to nature in an eco-friendly wooden tent.

Day 4 – Early start to tackle 58km’s from Cedarberg to Op Die Berg
BoPlaas Guesthouse - Embrace the history
From Mount Ceder olive farm to Op Die Berg on the banks of the Grootrivier, the route winds along the base of the Sneeuberg mountain range. You spend the last night at Boplaas guesthouse,
There is a lot to do at Boplaas for the adventurer and more than enough peace and quiet for soul searchers. In summer, the dam offers a cool respite from the midday heat and in winter, the crackling log fire is the perfect accompaniment to the beautiful views of snow-capped mountains

Day 5 – Final 75Km’s from Op Die Berg to Citrusdal
Final Day of adventure back to Citrusdal
After breakfast, we head for our final day on the road. The first part back to Citrusdal is on tar and relatively flat but is not to be underestimated. This is the Koue Bokkeveld and it is not for the fainthearted. It could be extremely hot or freezing cold, and if there is a headwind it can be really tough Take care down the fast-paced tarred road pass, which is a screamer all the way into Citrusdal and the finish point.
Once you reach Citrsudal, you will be transferred back to Cape Town.
