Get away from city life and take the road for a wild adventure in on the Kwa-Zulu Natal North Coast. This pet friendly coastal reserve resort have a lot to offer and will be the perfect spot for your post lockdown break away. On site activities include fly-fishing and regular bait fishing, kite surfing, bird watching and mountain biking. Alternatively you can relax on the lagoon beaches or chill out in the Gin Tank overlooking the reserve. There are also kayaks and canoes available to hire and explore the lagoon.

The Amatikulu reserve is about an hour’s drive from Durban and is a wonderful & wildly remote place to explore. The reserve boasts both the Amatikulu and Nyoni River estuaries along the Indian Ocean as well as forest and grassland.
2 nights at The Hatchery

The Hatchery is an old prawn breeding unit located on a lagoon overlooking a deserted beach and nature reserve.
Rustic accommodation comprises 11 rooms and 1 rooftop tent suited to accommodate up to 49 guests. In-room facilities include comfortable beds, linen, towels, air-conditioning and showers.
Establishment facilities include a swimming pool, braai area, conference facilities and secure parking. Guests are welcome to making use of the communal kitchen and dining table to suit their self-catering needs. Catering is available on request.
