This tour focuses mainly on the National Parks. You can start this tour from Cape Town, Johannesburg or Upington. Your first overnight stop is Augrabies Falls. From here you cross over into Namibia, to the Richtersveld Transfrontier Park to view the Fish River Canyon. The next stop is Sossusvlei; Sesriem. Up along the Skeleton Coast to Kaokoland and Twyfelfontein, then traveling to Etosha National Park. From Etosha, you travel south towards stopover in Stampriet (Kalahari) before crossing the border into the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
For this tour, you would need to use your own vehicle. (feel free to ask about a rental car price, should you need it) and is priced on special discounted rates for SADC Nationals.

The restaurant and chalets are arranged around a shaded courtyard with a large swimming pool. 36 rooms with a private veranda are available for tour groups. For individual travellers there are 19 rooms, set slightly apart, with views of the open savannah and with a separate swimming pool. Located about 30 km northeast of Mariental the lodge makes for a perfect stopover on the way south.

The stark, beautiful Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park offers three camps and your first night is spent at Mata Mata Rest Camp.
Mata Mata on the banks of the Auob River. Surrounded by Kalahari dune bushveld, the camp has a reception, shop and fuel facilities. Also at the camp is a hide overlooking a water hole, attracting various animals of the Kgalagadi. Expect to see many a giraffe here.

The property boasts campsites, tented camps, and self-catering options, with the capacity to sleep around 288 guests. Additionally, there is 24-hour electricity and cell phone reception. The nearby Twee Rivieren has a reception, a shop, fuel, a restaurant, information centre and swimming pool.
