The Wrong way Down

🚴‍♂️ Join us on an Incredible Journey for a Great Cause! 🌊🎗️

We are embarking on an extraordinary cycling expedition from Cape Town, Western Cape, all the way to the Botswana Border, Limpopo (Ponts Drift). Our mission? To raise vital funds and awareness for the Muizenberg Surf Foundation, a remarkable organisation founded by Shaun Solomons.

Growing up in Muizenbergs’ economically disadvantaged area, Shaun understands the challenges faced by the children in the community. Many of these young individuals lack access to basic necessities, facing daily struggles that can hinder their futures. However, Shaun’s foundation is changing lives, one wave at a time.

At the Muizenberg Surf Foundation, every child is provided with a nutritious lunch, often the only substantial meal they’ll have all day. Beyond that, the foundation offers educational support and guidance, addressing social issues these children are grappling with. By engaging in this program, these youngsters find solace away from the streets and stay clear of dangerous influences like gangs.

But it doesn’t stop there. Through the foundation’s mentoring program, these children are not only taught how to surf but also learn valuable life skills such as responsibility and becoming active contributors to society. The program even opens doors for them to become surf instructors in the future, empowering them with valuable employment opportunities.

Sadly, the Muizenberg Surf Foundation has experienced a significant loss of funding due to the devastating impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. That’s where we need your help! By supporting our GoFundMe page (link below), you can make a difference in the lives of these deserving children and ensure that Shaun’s incredible project keeps running smoothly.
